Letter of Invitation
Upon request, the Secretariat will send a personal letter of invitation to participate in the Conference.
It should be understood that such an invitation is only meant to assist participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa and does not represent a commitment on the part of the Organising Committee.
Passport and Visa
Prior to booking your flight ticket, please ensure that your passport is valid until at least 6 months after entry into Israel. Participants from some countries require a visa to enter Israel. We suggest that you check this with your travel agent or on the website of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The weather in Jerusalem in September is warm with highs of 30°C during the day and lows of 15°C in the evening. We recommend light clothing for the day and warm clothing for the cooler evenings as well as a raincoat or umbrella as rain could be expected.
Flights are available with El Al Israel Airlines as well as other international carriers from many major airports around the world. It is recommended to book your international air travel to/from Ben Gurion International Airport with your local travel agent and/or on the internet.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION BETWEEN BEN GURION INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND JERUSALEM
Taxi Service – The cost for a one-way trip is approximately US$88, depending on time of day and number of pieces of luggage. The trip should take approximately 40-60 minutes depending on time of day.
Nesher shared transfer service is available from Ben-Gurion Airport. There may be a waiting time as the driver only departs when there are 10 passengers. Rate per person: NIS 70 – approximately US$ 20. There is a “Nesher” information desk at the airport.
Personal travel, luggage and health insurance is recommended.
Please note that the organisers cannot be responsible for participants lacking appropriate insurance coverage in case of need.
